Leasing Costs:
If you want the benefits of horse ownership without the expense or commitment that comes with it, then leasing might be for you. We offer month-to-month leases, with no long term commitments.
- Half Lease Per Month - $200
Includes full use of horse as long as the horse is not scheduled for an activity with Southern Star Ranch, who will still use the horse for it’s own purposes. With a half lease, Southern Star Ranch is responsible for incidental charges. Please note that with a half-lease, only one rider per horse is allowed. Since the cost is per rider and not per horse, you may change the horse you ride each time, with prior approval.
- Full Lease Per Month -
$350 pasture board or $500 stall board
Includes full use of horse and will not be used by Southern Star Ranch. With a full lease, lessee incurs farrier, vet and any incidental charges, similar to ownership, and switching of horses will not be allowed. The horse leaving the ranch is only allowed with a full lease and will incur additional lease charges.
